Hydrangea macrophylla 'Curtis' Legacy'

Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Curtis’ Legacy’ has lacecap flowers which open white and age with a hint of pink.

Inflorescence: Lacecap, 150mm across. The small blue complete flowers in the centre of the lacecap are surrounded by white ray florets aging with a hint of pink.

synonyms: H. m. ‘Coerulea Lace’, and occasionally sold under the invalid name of Hydrangea japonica ‘Coerulea’ or under the ssp. serrata.

Discovered by Joseph Dalton in Japan in the 1800s. Described by Curtis in 1846 as a variety of H. japonica.
